Last updated: 6 September 2026. This policy explains how NiFra Language School (“NiFra”, “we”, “us”), operated by Maeda Emilie, handles personal information when you use this website, book a trial lesson, or when we access Google user data (including Google Calendar) to schedule lessons.

1. Who we are

NiFra Language School provides online and offline French lessons. This website is operated by Maeda Emilie for lesson inquiries, scheduling, and related communication. For privacy questions, contact us through the trial booking form, or using the email address we use to confirm your trial lesson.

2. Information we collect

When you book a trial lesson, we collect:

Name (including kana)
Email address
Current French level and learning goal
Preferred lesson times and timezone
Optional message you choose to send

We may also receive technical data that your browser sends automatically (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) through our hosting or analytics tools, if enabled.

3. Google Calendar and Google user data

To schedule and manage French lessons, NiFra Language School may access Google user data through Google APIs, including Google Calendar. Depending on how scheduling is configured, this may include:

Calendar free/busy information and event data needed to propose, create, update, or cancel lesson appointments and avoid scheduling conflicts
Basic account identity information (such as name or email) if Google Sign-In is used in connection with scheduling

We access only the Google data required to provide lesson scheduling and related communication. We do not use Google user data for advertising, data brokering, or unrelated machine-learning training.

4. Why we use your information

We use your information, including Google Calendar data when applicable, to:

Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and manage trial and ongoing French lessons
Avoid calendar conflicts and coordinate lesson times with teachers and students
Respond to your inquiry and prepare for the lesson
Communicate about booking changes or follow-up lessons
Operate, secure, and improve this website and related scheduling workflows
Meet legal or accounting obligations when applicable

Google user data is used only to provide and improve these lesson-scheduling and teaching services, and not for any other purpose.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information or Google user data. We share data only with service providers and processors needed to operate the service (for example, hosting, email, or infrastructure providers acting on our behalf), or when required by law. We do not share Google user data with third parties for advertising, brokering, or unrelated AI/ML training.

6. Storage and security

Booking details and calendar-related scheduling data are processed and stored through our backend systems and hosting providers. We transmit data over HTTPS where the service is available over the web. Access to personal and Google user data is limited to people who need it to run lessons and operate the service.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep trial booking information and calendar-related scheduling data only as long as needed to manage your bookings and lessons, and for a reasonable period afterward for follow-up and record-keeping. You may ask us to delete your data unless we must retain it for legal reasons. If you connected a Google account, you can also revoke NiFra’s access to your Google data at any time in your Google Account permissions.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

This site may use essential cookies or local storage required for basic operation. If we add analytics or marketing cookies later, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent.

9. Your choices

Depending on applicable law (including Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or ask us to stop using it for certain purposes. Contact us using the details in section 1.

10. Children

If a parent or guardian books a trial for a minor, they should submit the form and remain responsible for the booking communication. Please do not submit another person’s information without permission.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
